Hi. I just purchased this software and couldn't figure out why my banner links not working propperly. I included sponsor link www.sponsor.com

But after gallery with name "test" get generated all my banners linked this way

http://www.mysite.com/test/www.sponsor.com

It adding http://www.mysite.com/test/ in front on sponsor lin k and of cource I received error message when I click on banner.

I actually created teamplate with html banners already placed (banner already uloaded on server)

<div align="center"><a href="www.sponsor.com">
  <img src="http://www.mysite.com/arylia/banners/banner.jpg"></A> </div>

and I do generate galllery with thubms only. And again for some reason my html code I placed as part of teamplat appears as

http://www.mysite.com/test/www.sponsor.com when I click on banner.

I have a filling I already had such kind of problem before...but I don't remember what did I do. Any ideas?

Also any way to make Arylia grab large pictures from sponsor gallery even if thumbs are only 150x150?

Thank you.

Dehash,

  1. The banners should always include the http:// in the URL. Double check to make sure your href links are not just www but http:// part.
  2. Arylia will follow the thumbnail links and then download and resize the large pics according to the values you put in your template. For example, if you put this in your template __THUMB.150.200__ then Arylia would create a thumbnail from the large pic at 150x200pixels. More info on template usage can be found here:

Good luck.

Thank you.

1. Yes it was missing http://

2. Still can't make it work.

I have sponsor gallery link. Gallery has 16 pics with 150x150 thumbs pointed on full size images. Also there are banners, design elements.

I feed this link to Arylia - rip from the internet.

In Admin->Gallery Builder Settings - Minimum Acquisition Dimensions I set 150x150, right? In Thumbnail options I chose 300x400. Then Arylia creates gallery with 150x150 thumbs and leading to 150x150 pictures. It doesn't want to go for bigger picture.

If in Admin->Gallery Builder Settings - Minimum Acquisition Dimensions I set 400x400, then Arylia creates gallery with no pictures, only banner.

I use standard _THUMBNAILS_ identifier in template.

Where do I make error in setting? Is there any check box I missed which makes Arylia to "click" small thumbnails and look for full size picture?

Thank you.

If you are asking Arylia to compleytely rip the sponsor's design template, graphics, banners, etc, then Arylia is not designed for that. It simply populates a template that you create.

Also, you need to make a custom template if you want thumbs bigger than the ones you are getting. To do this, you use the __THUMB.150.200__ identifier style (chaning the numbewrs to suit your needs).

The minimum acquisition setting tells Arylia what the absolute minimum it should look for to qualify as a valid fullsize image.

Set your Minimum Acquisition settings to something like 500x750

Gallery Preview Dimensions has nothing to do with the output. It's the size of the thumbnail shown when you manually edit gallery thumbs later.

Where you need to set the information is under the Image Acquisition and Saving Defaults section of the Admin / Gallery defaults tab. Set the following:

  • Yes, resize originals
  • As neededed (no more than)
  • 1200 for pixels
  • Largest dimension

Then use a custom template to specify the actual thumbnail sizes you want.

Thank you.

Don't want to create separate thread - I am using my copy Arylia on multiple domains and have same sponsors. How do I copy sponsor database with links to another domain? I can't find folder with sponsors names.

Thank you.

dehash, there is no folder for a sponsor.

Sponsors are stored in their own database table within Arylia and their ID's are cross referenced with galleries. You can either use a database admin program (Navicat, phpmyAdmin, etc) to export the contents of the SPonsors table and import it to your new one. But the index key id's may cause you issues -- I akm not sure on that.

The alternative, and likely the safest method, is to re-enter each sponsor's data.

Another idea that could work is to make a complete database copy, and create a new database with it, copy all pictures on new domain and then to delete the galleries you don't want in it via arylia admin.

It could save hours ;)
